Default Murphy, LaBeouf & Weisz in the next Batman movie?

If this is true then it ends with The Dark Knight for me...

FROM IMDb:

Eddie Murphy and Shia Labeouf have been lined up to star in the next Batman movie, according to reports.

The Beverly Hills Cop actor will star as The Riddler and Labeouf will play the caped crusader's sidekick Robin in the next instalment, tentatively titled Gotham.

Actress Rachel Weisz is reportedly in the frame to play Catwoman. Christian Bale will return as Bruce Wayne and Michael Caine will again play his assistant Alfred, according to British newspaper The Sun.

The movie, which is slated for a 2010 release, will be directed by Christopher Nolan, who made The Dark Knight such a huge success when it was released this year.

A source says, .Chris wasn.t sure if he wanted to do another movie but as soon as he decided to, he got the wheels in motion. Eddie.s a fantastic addition. Everyone.s excited to see what he does as the Riddler..

The Sun isn't the most accurate source for information like this.

Although, Mystic Meg can be quite spot on.

Here you want some Batman rumors for the next movie, I will show you how these so call journalist do it. Here is my casting list :

Batman : Jack Black (cause Bale just can't cut it anymore)
Riddler : Seth Rogen (I mean if we have a pudgy Batman...)
Catwoman : Beyonce (why not she is rumored to be in everything these days)

And let's replace Nolan, afterall WB must think that the movie is good enough to work on it's on, so we will have Uwe Bolll Boll to direct the next batman movie.

Now write this up in a nice little package, print this up in a so call newspaper and

voila....instant Batman rumors.

And then they wonder why people now a days have no respect for journalist

Lol - you're right. I'm far too gullible... I figure that if it's on IMDb it MUST be true!... plus my sense of smell is all wonky.

Eddie Murphy was probably doing cartwheels after reading this. Wait until he calls his agent and gets the bad news.

LOL

It's not your fault. It's those lazy halfwits at the Sun trying to justify there paycheck.

I would like to add I'd be more than happy for Nolan's Batman to have ended with Dark Knight. I mean look at Spider-Man 2 & 3, The distance in quality between the two films is staggering. And no matter what your opinion of the second and third movies were, 3 just plain stank! And it seems to get worse every time I've seen it since... Which depresses me as 2 was so good.

There is no way on earth they will be able to make a third installment that is anywhere near as good as TDK. Although I would be more than happy for Nolan & Nolan & Company to prove me wrong.

that is why nolan has flat out said that the story is the most important thing. he knows 3's usually suck and doesn't want to fall into that same trap as oh so many before him.

i think if anyone can pull it off, it'll be nolan.

As much as I like Laboeuf, I really can't see any of them in a batman movie. But again, When I first heard about Heat Ledgers as a joker I was conviced that this movie was going to be a flop... so how can I trust my jugment now!?

No matter how hard he tries though a glut of people will still deride number three, even if it's actually quite good.

I actually like LaBeouf as well, But I don't think he suits Batman. Mainly because I don't want Robin anywhere near this franchise! That would count towards me giving "Gotham" a wide berth when it's in theaters.

I read that as well. Good on him I say! Robin would ruin everything they've built with 1 & 2.

Eddie Murphy should play Batman and do his trademark laugh.
