Murphy and Labeouf sounds good for a Joel Schumacher Batman not Nolan's Batman.

I wont show up for the next movie if Eddie is in it.

Will they put him in some form of rubber suit for this one? He would be right at home if they did.

In reading the title of this thread, I was profoundly skeptical. Seeing it was being reported by "The Sun" clinched it.

This one is still steaming.

I'd be okay with something along the lines of Bruce Wayne adopting (or whatever taking on a ward is called) an extremely young and newly orphaned Dick Grayson (10-12 years old) at the tail end of a movie. It could be symbolic of Bruce Wayne re-establishing some semblence of his life and humanity. That would fit in with Nolan's world well wnough. But a costumed Robin out fighting crime? Hell no!!!

Yeah that could work. At least that would leave it open ended. You could imagine where the mythology goes from there with out spoiling Nolan's atmospheric Batman universe he has spent years creating

The Sun is a tabloid and are just making this shit up. I don't even think Nolan has agreed to do anything yet, never mind coming up with actors to play certain parts. And he sure as shit wouldn't cast another goofball (ahem...remember Jim Carrey?) as the Riddler.

Didn't Bale say he'd never do a Batman movie if Robin was included?

Default eddie would do a fine job

I think Eddie would do a fine job as the riddler, he can act he just chooses bad parts. if you didn't see dream girls well the guy gave a great performance. i think that if that part is written right Eddie will knock it out the park.

FROM IMDb:

Eddie Murphy and Shia Labeouf have been lined up to star in the next Batman movie, according to reports.

The Beverly Hills Cop actor will star as The Riddler and Labeouf will play the caped crusader's sidekick Robin in the next instalment, tentatively titled Gotham.

Actress Rachel Weisz is reportedly in the frame to play Catwoman. Christian Bale will return as Bruce Wayne and Michael Caine will again play his assistant Alfred, according to British newspaper The Sun.

The movie, which is slated for a 2010 release, will be directed by Christopher Nolan, who made The Dark Knight such a huge success when it was released this year.

A source says, .Chris wasn.t sure if he wanted to do another movie but as soon as he decided to, he got the wheels in motion. Eddie.s a fantastic addition. Everyone.s excited to see what he does as the Riddler..

ITS ALSO BEEN REPORTED THAT NOLAN WILL NOT BE DIRECTING AND WRITING THE FILM
