Men in Black offscreen
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 3/5 for video, not exactly impressive. Resolution doesn't look any higher than 720p, and contrast and color fail to pop. Last edited by cakefoo; 06-24-2008 at 08:10 PM. |

Entertainment72,
The depth, clarily and detail in those Hairspray shots is excellent. However, the saturation of color was a little heavy, IMO. Some people like very saturated colors, but I prefer them a little more subdued. Overall, I though Hairpray had excellent picture quality. The movie wasn't half bad either. |

Yes I have live color set to on, I like it.. I think it is just a matter of preference. I think your shots could use more color.. look a little washed out but I also feel you system looks much better in person that what you post in pictures for as big of screen you have and thus do not do it justice. I have used the DVE disc and was careful calibrating the color and thus the results. It is not by any means professionally calibrated but I like the results that came from the DVE discs. In the end we all must realize is what we like, I feel many pictures in this thread do not do blu justice and actually fear some new people might log on here and look at these pictures to only justify their decision to NOT go blu or HD. ![]() |
