The cheap cardboard glasses that came with Journey are uncomfortable. The 3D effect was only sharp and clear about 20% of the time. The method used for the BD disc is the same cheap red lens/green lens technology used for the last 30 years and it's not nearly as good.
The 2D version's colors are MUCH better, but the overall print was quite soft and lacking in detail. The 2.5/5 score I gave Journey reflects what I feel the 2D version should get. I can't give a score on the 3D version since it is so unnatural and different that there is no way to scale that in comparison with other movies.

I know it's an old post, but I wanted to comment on it.
Ric, the theater experience wasn't much different from the home experience. We literally left 30 minutes into the movie because we were getting dizzy with bad headaches. The images were barely three dimensional, and very soft. It was almost as if you were staring through an out of focus camera.
P.S. I bought this on BD as well, cuz I am silly like that.
