I was kinda surprised that I really dug the unique visual style and art direction in this movie - hooray for zero expectations!

it feels more like a tv show then epic star wars movie.
its pretty cheesey in some scenes between the new padawan and mr sky walker.

For the guys posting computer screen caps. What software are you using to make the screen caps? I bought an LG GBC H20L BLU-RAY drive for my computer and it came with Cyberlink Power DVD. I do not have an option to take screen caps when watching a BLU-RAY movie but do with regular DVD's. I can not get the windows print screen to catch a scene also. Any recomendations for the best software for BLU on the PC?

You need some specialized software to capture BD images. It's not as easy as pressing a button. But if you want to tackle it, there's a little information in this thread.

Well considering it was produced for television before it was decided to release it as a theatrical, I'd say they hig their mark pretty well.

Did you notice really bad edge enhancement while watching "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" on your 40-inch screen? All the reviews complain about its overbearing presence on the Blu-Ray image, but i don't really see it in your screenshots.

Ok, i found the spot your talking about but it seems to be in very low quality for some reason. And its not bad while playing but its one of those spots that doesn't look too good frozen. I got a very similar product to the image you provided actually so I didn't feel like it was worth uploading. Im going to give it another shot tomorrow and see if I can get a better shot.

No I haven't really seen any edge halos.
Maybe if I really start to look for them I might notice but haven't heard of those until now...gonna check now.

You won't find it like that. The films will be released through Fox like they always have been, while the Clone Wars TV show (where this movie comes from) will be released through WB.

And yes, The Clone Wars Movie was originally produced as a TV show, not a theatrical film. It was released theatrically because Lucas was pleased with how the work came out and thought it should be seen on the big screen.

I think you need to watch the TV serie also, to get the good vibe of the show, i think it's a very good movie!

And it looks crazy good in HD!
