I just watched the first disc for the 7-part OVA series, Freedom! I was extremely impressed. I've always been a fan of Otomo's work and watching the series, so far, feels like the good ol' days of anime. The picture quality is impressive, both the Japanese and English language tracks are crisp and deep, and the story is definitely keeping my interest. If it weren't for the $75+ purchase price I would recommend this to everyone!!

Panasonic DMP-BD35 to Onkyo TX-SR805 to Sony 52XBR4 with Nikon D70s and a 60mm Macro lens.

I did my best with these shots but my camera tends to pick up a strange pattern almost constantly when shooting flat animation. I assure you that every color on the screen is clean and flat in reality!

Interesting side note : This is the first blu-ray disc I tried to take photos of that had a perfectly clean pause every single time! I didn't run across a single frame that had a motion blur to it.
