1. As this thread is for PG-13 films only (from the censorship of many good films in this thread and subsequent editing of the first post to say PG-13 only...), is there anywhere were the rest of films can be posted, including other sites from blu-ray.com if necessary (if the censorship extends to the whole site? I don't know) so that art is not being watered down for the sake of petty little offended people? Thanks for any help anyone.

2. The first post should say PNG is preferred (for the full size pictures at least), I only found out after I made my pictures that PNG is the only one that doesn't make the picture lose quality, would help if others knew this too before goign through all the effort of converting the files from BMP then uploading

Yea, I wish more people would save as PNG.
I also wish that there was a cap for the amount of images. It gets ridiculous sometimes. I think 10 screens are more than enough to help show off a movie's PQ.

The first post asks only that the gore in the images posted be kept to a PG-13 level. Doesn't mean images from R movies can't be posted.

• No nudity. It is requested that gore be kept to PG-13 graphic levels.

On the contrary I think the posting of PNG images on the site is a negative thing. Some of them can be anything from 2-5mb in size and take an absolute age to download even with a fast broadband connection. There is actually very little difference between them and a high quality jpeg....

PNG
JPG

I myself post jpegs on the site but redirect to the PNG versions which I also upload.

Just my two cents. Not trying to tread on any toes

In regards to the sizes and loading times, the thread title alone warns there's large files. I know I wouldn't come in here if I was on 56k, maybe even 768k. And really, you'd only come in here knowing you can, and knowing you need to.

There's no problem on my end, and I'm sure there are lots of people in the same boat.

Besides, as shiny mentioned, PNG is the purest form of a screenshot...I'd say that lives up to the thread title.

Thanks for all of the great screenshots.

Regarding the content of images posted . . . since this is an open website accessed by children and there is no age verification or warnings of nudity or extreme graphic content, the moderators have requested that posters practice some discretion and post only PG-13 level images from R rated movies. It makes sense to me. I'm not sure where another website would be where posters could post images of nudity and extreme graphic content.

Regarding types of files . . . I think it's important to allow a variety of file types. Computer image captures and photographs of screens are both welcome. I enjoyed looking at the comparison of The Return of the King photographs of a large screen as well as pure computer image captures. Quite a contrast.

I would just request that posters be considerate of those viewing the thread. If files are too large and load too slowly, I think it would drive some away. The same is true of images that of poor quality or too small. It is requested that images be at least 600 pixels wide so viewers can see enough of the image to make an evaluation.

The first post of this thread has an index of movies which have images posted. It is quite a time consuming process to list and link those movies, so I only update it every month or two. Hopefully it's helpful.

THE NEVERENDING STORY
Warner – US
Picture Quality 7/10
Warning: The following screenshots contains spoilers. View them at your own risk.

Bottom Line: Dark! Dark!! Dark!!! This is probably the darkest picture I’ve seen for this title. Everything felt like it’s shot at night or a case of bad weather! It’s not help by the fact that the heavy dose of orange tint desaturated the colors of certain elements(see the picture with the rainbow for reference) The picture is also missing a few information on the top and bottom. Flaws aside, the picture is actually pretty sharp, free of dust and scratches for the most part with a healthy dose of grain. My advice is to get the brighter and much more colorful dutch BD instead... unless you prefer your Neverending Story dark and drab! Hopefully Warner will involve Wolfgang Petersen the next time they plan to re-release this title again.

*This is a repost from the screenshot thread(that post went missing some time ago after I'd made some editing...) Also on AVS screenshot thread.
