Based on your other posts, you have never seen Alien, Aliens, True Lies, and now The Abyss? Have you been living in a cave? Just kidding, The Abyss is outstanding, but go with the extended cut over the theatrical version. Alien and Aliens are classic, even Alien 3 isn't bad, but the fourth film is terrible. True Lies is a lot of fun, but not in my top 25, but still I am picking it and the others mentioned above (Aliens/The Abyss) on 4K day one next week. :-)

No, it's because DVD still makes over 50% of all disc sales. Most people don't care about blu-ray or 4K UHD. Stop with the greed nonsense and faux outrage.

There is ONE replication factory left for all of North America, and unless they re-open one of the 10 or 11 that shuttered when physical media sales plunged, this is not going to change.
