the title is overrated now and hyped and yes greedy people like those same vultures hang around for autographs holding cheap items and then selling them for thousands on ebay

can't find decent " caddy shack " on laserdisc as so many have it signed then selling it hundreds

the abyss not worth shoplifting it from retail stores , not with AI DNR and mixed for a soundbar , at least i have the DVD and good ole laserdisc for theatrical mix , the dvd region 1 has better bass and slam than the so called losssless dolby true atmos audio

Apologises if this has already been covered but will their be a UK release of The Abyss in 4K?

I can see Aliens/True Lies are getting UK 4K releases but I can't seem to find any listing for The Abyss which is odd if the other two movies are.

Some people have been asking about the stickers. Took mine off TL and The Abyss with no problems, just make sure you do it SLOWLY.

However, I can't guarantee that everyone has the same sticker material. The corner of mine came up very easily, the glue stuck so much that I got a lot of "glue strands" (for lack of a better term), but none of them stuck to the packaging, they snapped back to the sticker. No residue.

It's not just 1 left. Ebay allows sellers to list an item as "just 1 left" and as soon as that one sells, they are allowed to add another one as available to the same listing, so it's always "1 left" until they are actually sold out. They could have 500 of them. It says "59 sold, 1 left", and you buy 1, immediately you can see the listing now says "60 sold, 1 left. It's another way Ebay just doesn't give a crap as long as they get a cut.

This is the kind of thing that Ebay should not allow but instead they actually profit from it.

My copy arrived earlier today and I noticed that they've photoshopped the cover art to add more hair on top of Harris's head! I had a good chuckle before I threw the plastic wrap and slipcover in the trash.

Well sure enough, just as I go and order True Lies and Abyss from Target (and have them be delivered within two days), my deepdiscount order shows up with these titles and Aliens, despite try to cancel and never getting a shipment notice.

I just got my Abyss 4K and True Lies 4K from Deep Discount. I pre-ordered 9 days before release, and they were shipped on release day. They are out of stock now just like everywhere else, so I'm glad I pre-ordered.

I went to see Abyss and True Lies in the theaters when they first came out in the 80s and 90s because I had a feeling those were groundbreaking titles at the time. True Lies had that feel of being a "different kind" of action movie at the time. The Abyss felt like an underwater version of Aliens, which fascinated me. Back then there were no social media, so you often had to use your sixth sense to find the right movies.

Thanks! Just placed my order and cancelled Amazon. Went from no delivery date to Wednesday.

I've been an eBay user for many years and didn't know you could do that. That's terrible.
