One thing I have learned over the years of collecting movies is reviewers reviews are a good indicator of a quality transfer but how the people react to the transfer is more telling.

Well, I mean, I didn't read the entire article, but I didn't catch any notes of hatred in it. I think the author was being rather civil, even as they presented it as if from a monospaced typewriter... The lack of period-accurate font with it though means they probably don't like old-timey things like film grains and paper, so mayhap it was some other pedantry at play. (ahem) Regardless, there wasn't any hate that I picked up.

You can't grow a real mullet like that if you are fictional

There is ONE replication factory left for all of North America, and unless they re-open one of the 10 or 11 that shuttered when physical media sales plunged, this is not going to change.
Hello Bates_Motel, I apreciate your input. I started collecting movies with VHS, then transitioned to DVD and then to Blu-Ray. When the DVD started to apear the VHS was phased out. I know most of the people don't care about HD. For the last 26 years we have HD TV's. In my opinion DVD should be phased out long time ago. I know the prices to produce physical media. It goes down with volume. When I wrote about greed is related to the fees. Do you remember the Sony Betamax licensing fees ? The industry found another way with VHS. Betamax disappeared also for other reasons. But this is another story.

From memory, the crane going down the drain was epic in the woofers and tweeters.

Same. You just made me remind myself that Saint Maud is on Prime... and it's now added to watchlist. So I just added it and will watch that one soon cuz Love Lies Bleeding looks awesome.

Other than Bill’s affiliate marketing bait review when can we expect the reviews for Camo’s triplets?

Anyone can recommend honest reviewers? Even our own can be biased sometimes.

I’m still not sure I will be getting these, been waiting for them since the advent of blu-ray disc, the streaming versions don’t look good but the pull is too strong.

I don't think you have much of a choice, since the only alternative is DVD from 500 years ago. With 4k disc, you will also get lossless audio for the first time in movie existence and audio is always a big improvement over streaming version.

It is not like Aliens, where you can fallback on previous 1080p blu, if you don't like 4k master. This is all we are gonna get for the foreseeable future, therefore, making a choice is easy.

Well I guess an alternative is that you never watch a movie again, or watch streaming version with compromised audio and even worse picture quality.

I do want to get one of those 16:9 2 Disc DVD editions just to have.

I never owned the LaserDisc edition.
