Take this with a grain of salt I guess but this was posted on Dark Horizons comments page.

"they printed maybe a third of what was needed for the FIRST round of preorders. Tons of people are not getting their copies, even if they pre ordered from Disney Movie Club itself, amazon isn't listing it for sale at the moment and other sites like wal mart and target don't even have it listed. My WOWHD order hasn't been sent and it's showing "this item is Currently Unavailable check back later" on their site atm.

It's not always the disc sometimes your receiver could be doing it. I did not have any issues with mine. Not sure if you have your firmware upgraded but if you don't get on it.

Thanks for the heads up... the AVR and both of the 4k players i used are all up to date.
Even just plugged the panny straight into the TV ( bypassing the AVR) and still get the same encoding problem.

Put the disc in your player and wait for all the splash screens and warning cruft to happen. Then, when the menu comes up, navigate to the option titled "trailers" or something like it. This may be under "Special Features" or a similarly named option as a sub-menu.

My disc has not yet arrived, so I cannot give you exact, step-by-step directions.

Well Amazon dropped the ball, or their distributor did. I pre-ordered back at the end of January. It says I'm supposed to receive it by tomorrow at 10PM, however it hasn't even shipped yet. I am expecting them to update it tomorrow and say it's delayed a week. People who ordered through Walmart apparently got them though, a few got them early. What a joke. Amazon is really starting to piss me off. This isn't the first time they have done this. Kino Lorber 4KBD of Face/Off was the same shit. I guess same thing happened with more recent titles like Barbie and Oppenheimer as well, though I bought Oppenheimer directly at Best Buy.

Unfortunately my copy of the abyss got delayed to March 24. I have the digital version and I saw the December 6th screening. I am okay with waiting a bit more.

Supply chain, or, more likely, a very limited number being manufactured because "people don't buy disc media anymore" supposedly.
