I imagine like 'Oppenheimer' 4K UHD you will eventually be able to pick up a copy, and for a better price at that. I recently got mine from Amazon when they were priced at 19.99 and had a 'gift card' from Amazon that pushed it down to $13. It didn't come with a slip but that's okay.

Just a heads up, today I was able to do an in store pickup from online to my local Barnes & Noble. Looks like they only had one copy.

Watched the "Under Pressure" doc last night after finishing the Special Edition version. Not surprisingly, the on-set footage is pretty rough but you can still see what's going on. The mixed-in interview segments look pretty good. And the audio's decent throughout. Overall it's certainly watchable. I never knew what went into making this and I was in awe of the sheer amount of work and determination to get this on film.

I don't remember the last time I watched my SE DVD... probably close to twenty years ago. Last night was like watching it for the first time. Absolutely loved it. Is it a perfect release? No. Still loved it.

I started with the upper outside corner, a gentle fingernail and quickly saw this was not going to happen, then I went for the bottom outside corner, same thing but now I have 2 indentations. I damn near ripped up the cover then I took a second to relax. I have been here before, I grabbed the electrical tape and cut out 2 tiny square to hide the indentations. Its good enough for me.
I know it's annoying, but if you just ignore the sticker and wait long enough, the glue will dry enough that you can eventually just remove it and gently wipe away any glue residue that may remain there once the sticker is off.

They had to use glue for these Cameron stickers. I damn near ruined all three to get them off, and no amount of Goo Gone would help much. Stickers are a pet peeve of mine. I haven't had so much difficulty since I started collecting UHDs.

Stickers or not, I can't wait to dig into these long-lost jewels, especially Abyss and True Lies.

The included digital code only redeems the theatrical version of The Abyss, not the special edition, unfortunately, even though the disc contains both versions.

As many know, sometimes these digital code redemptions may give you more than what you expected, and sometimes they may not.

Finally got my disc in today! Quality PQ and AQ, at least on my setup. Happy camper here, now let’s see if Aliens comes in today!

Does it show up as a special feature? That's how the special edition was available on Vudu for a while

Any UK folks had any movement from WOWHD? They took the money from my card about a week ago but it's been crickets since. And now it says The Abyss is "currently unavailable" on the website.

Out of the 3 releases, The Abyss is absolutely THE one to get without hesitation. Fans should not sleep on this one. I can understand with Aliens and True Lies, but not this one.

I did the same thing yesterday! Out of maybe three or four B&N's in my area only one store had one left, and I bought it online and did an in-store pickup last night. Everywhere else I checked was out. I plan on watching it next weekend.

For True Lies, I'm inclined to agree.

Watched the extended cut on BD last night. For the most part, this transfer is relatively good or acceptable to my eyes.

Thankfully this one was handled a little better, as it's the one I wanted the most.

Yes, I had to contact them to know it was dispatched on the 12th. They gave me a tracking number and it has arrived in the UK. I expect delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday.
