My copy of The Abyss is coming tomorrow after a delay, was supposed to arrive yesterday. Hopefully it’s worth it, because trying to order the trio of the Cameron releases was a headache.

Looks like the second printing may not come with slips, Diabolik has them available but notes they will not come with one.

Should you ever decide to sell the movie, it will be more valuable with the slip.

I believe I caught it when there just happened to be some stock, maybe that they just received. I think that was the case because a few hours after I received my shipping order and tracking number, I went back to their site and it said sold out. I guess I just got lucky.

DMC says they've packed my item but due to the high number of orders they have yet to ship it. So, they definitely do have the items it's just hard to get orders out. Ya'll need to stop buying so much smh.

Slipcovers=more money if selling later on Ebay. Depending on the title, sometimes significantly more.

I don't even keep the case it comes in. I always just put the disc into a cd booklet and throw everything else away. The only blu ray I ever sold was the Arrow version of Weird Science. I bought it and decided I hated the movie. I sold it for exactly what I paid for it. About 14 years ago I put all my movies into cd booklets to save space. I kept the Friday the 13th tin can though. Cuz, why not. Heels to jesus.

Got extremely lucky and ended up with a copy from Walmart after Amazon decided to straight up say 'your package might be lost - you should probably click here for a refund' and it appears that it also doesn't have the skipping issues others have run into. Typically using an Xbox series X to play if that information is helpful to anyone.

As far as the picture as I've said in posts before I'm not an expert by any means and although I have no doubt it could have looked better (going by what folks here with more knowledge have posted) in motion it still looked pretty great to me and I'm thankful to now have a physical copy that isn't stuck in standard dvd resolution.

Slip was also in excellent condition on arrival so I'm pretty happy with the purchase overall. I hope those of you that got screwed on your pre-orders also get your copy soon.

I actually don't even keep the discs anymore. Once it's copied to my HDD, it has served its purpose: I've supported the creators and experienced the film. At that point the optical media (plastic) is no different from the plastic wrap it came in. So into the trash it goes.

OMG. That is your attempt at snark. Lame. Copying discs is illegal. I do not support criminals who break the law.

Well, technically in the US it is legal to make a personal copy of media you have purchased.

Unfortunately, the powers that be made it illegal to circumvent copy protection that may be on said media in question.

So one has a legal right to make a copy but no legal means to do so.

Anyhow in my book, if one owns a copy of something then backup away for your own personal use.

I have never supported that crap. It is illegal and anyone who does it should be charged. I don't steal discs from stores either. Shocking.
