It's possible, but tbh I've never had that particular issue on any disc I've put in my Panny and my process has never failed me yet lol. I had one UHD skip and then freeze, but that was because it had a huge (and deep) circular scratch on it. And even if I tried to fast forward I couldn't get past it. Was able to get it exchanged though.

What speed do you fast forward at?

Finally got mine. Glitching around 1:08, 2:37-2:45, special edition.

On my Panasonic 820 that displays as colorful blocks and stuttering, but it does play through. On my Sony X-800m2 it pauses for a second then skips past.

I wonder if there’s a disc exchange program coming?

just curious ,where did you purchase your disc?
I had the same problem,, bought from walmart.com, and they happily refunded me for the faulty disc ,
(bought it again elsewhere )

Can’t believe Amazon still hasn’t got this back in stock. I thought the other 2 were more popular but this appears to be the best selling one of the lot.

The lack of a UK release, combined with the fact that it is apparently the best transfer (least AI'ed) probably explains its scarcity.

Just to add - played glitch free [SE] on my Oppo 203, although it was a nervous watch! I have a 2nd 203 which has been problematical on about three 4K discs which I will try later.

I took the precaution of cleaning the disc beforehand - even though there were no visible imperfections.

This why I prefer to go the German, French or Spanish route for imports. Something seriously wrong with the factory in the U.S, with so many damaged discs.
I own 250 4K discs now, and not one issue.

Once more, in the US a citizen has a right to make a backup copy of their media, the catch though is the DMCA makes it a legal gray area in practice.

I've been reading about people's discs glitching out but I guess I got lucky. Even with some light scratches I just finished the Special Edition and it played flawlessly on my LG. Looked and sounded fantastic! Hell of a jump from that awful non anamorphic DVD. Michael Biehn is so good in this. I've always been a fan but his evolution into the unstable with the shakes and the way he delivers his dialogue, even the body language like the look in his eyes. Just awesome.

I'm just glad we got a release with both cuts in the same quality so everyone can watch what they want, and one's preference for one cut over another can be stay as unimportant a thing as it should be.

I got mine at Walmart. I'll try a refund too. Did your replacement work? I'm keeping the slip though just in case

Got my US copy today and...the UHD disc has a whole bunch of scuffs and scratches, most near the outer rim where the layer changes can get so easily corrupted. Aliens got away with a tiny scratch, True Lies was fine, and most importantly both played perfickly, but I'm not looking forward to spinning The Abuse. How typical is it that the most eagerly awaited of the three AND the least terrible-looking of the three is the one that gets the shit end of the stick?

What I don't get with these stackers is why they always always fookin ALWAYS put the UHD on top of another disc. You've got two hubs so keep one for the UHD on its own and put the two BDs together. Naturally, the other two discs are fine, the fookin BD25 they've used for the extras is particularly pristine. Just...ugh.

Admittedly it may play a-okay, but given all the issues people have been having I don't rate my chances. Good job I ordered the Italian edition a while back, it's not out until April but at least it won't look like someone's dropped it on the floor. If the US one won't play proper like I'll send it back to Amazon.
