Could someone please explain to me, why Geoff's, mine and (discussing and showing) the comparison post of the 4K streaming version and the recent 4K disc were erased? Were they too critical of the disc, regarding the AI processing? Are we no longer even allowed to utter well-balanced scepticism of a particular product on this forum?
If so, this is beginning to feel like censorship, as I honestly couldn't think of any reason why anyone (except maybe Jimmy Cameron?

) may have taken offense of those posts. So pretty please, with sugar on top, some mod please step forth and explain this to me. I promise, I won't bite!

give the mods a chance, but I suspect that you'll be so lucky.
My belief is that mods ban and suspend people and surreptitiously make text disapear and that is about the lot

The Abyss = Solace after True Lies and Aliens.

Seems to have decent HDR as opposed to the rest which barely have HDR except for being high APL including Avatar.

Pre-ordered 2/19/24 - received 4/4/24. Watched 4/25/24 and it played flawlessly. This one did take the longest to arrive of the three Camerons. Good luck.

I ordered on the first week from amazon at end of January. I got my disc the Friday after it was released.. I was asking for a friend.

I ordered this from Amazon and my copy arrived today. They are still coming with the slipcover although I wouldn't have been heartbroken if it hadn't.

Ordered on March 9, recvd April 20. Had slipcover.
4K Special Edition played fine, no pauses on entry level LG player.

Took FOUR copies, but I finally got a perfect disc. This one came from Amazon and is new stock (no sticker). The other three came from Diabolik.

Finally got my scandinavian copy, I am halfway through, I am enjoying it very much. This is on my top 5 sci-fi movies list. I have not seen it in 20+ years. There is no grain, looks like a movie from later years. I can live with it. I am happy to own it and will be watching it yearly like before.

No visible damage. Watched the SE cut front to back. No issues on the Panny 820.
