I have no time for AI shenanigans, but what David Fincher has been doing to his movies is worse.

The Abyss and The Terminator are NOT perfect, but they're not too flawed to enjoy.

My opinions, natch.

Didn't notice anything suspicious in Se7en (forgot to look for the added and closed CGI-door, so it didn't jump and disturb me) and I'm sure I'll enjoy Panic Room as much when it arrives next week.

Yeah I saw the new 4K of Se7en in IMAX and it looked pretty great to me. Didn’t look at all like Cameron’s first AI remaster attempts and there was definitely film grain.
Although I’m sure I would have loved it just as much or more without his tinkering, but I guess after seeing what Cameron did to Aliens I’m just easygoing on anything else.

What is the likelihood of The Abyss getting more copies printed - it’s basically sold out everywhere right? So did I miss out on getting a non reseller copy?

I’m pretty new to this hobby and don’t really understand how reprints / out of production status work for 4K discs?

You could import from U.K., Amazon U.K. still has copies of the American disc.

This happens every few weeks, I wouldn't worry, or panic buy at a higher price

I have been watching it, and it's roughly in one month, then out of stock for another,
so I would suspect it's going to be a couple of weeks yet.

To answer the shouter, yes it was cheap, from the Disney Movie Club, before they shut their doors. It averaged out to $12-16 when factoring in your full-priced title, depending on how large your order was.

I got it buy 2 get 1 free at $24.99 from Target back in the day, so it ended up around $16.
Definitely grabbed it at the right time.

This release has had a weird history for sure. Probably since it came out in the transition period of Disney losing their mind on pricing.
