It's been delayed by 3 years for Cameron to insert some blue CGI rats into the Deep Core...

I know that some people like to joke about stuff.. this is worse kind of misinformation. IT'S NOT TRUE. They are indeed coming out in march 2024.. Some people might take your post serious.. please refrain from telling misinformation.

All three Cameron films (Nordic) can preordered at CDON. I preordered Aliens.

Apparently the pre-order date for those will be announced at a later date.
That's disappointing but makes sense. The Avatar releases are in a few weeks. The others are in March.

this is so annoying - we already have avatar and AWOW and now we have to wait even longer for what we REALLY want - the digital releases are available dec 12 yes? or is that again for A & AWOW ?

Each movie's detailed release information included the specific Digital Release Date so it should be correct. Bill Hunt could have just assumed all would be up for pre-order on the same date as that information appeared in the "article" that preceded the individual release details.

It would be nice if the House of Mouse (or any company) did something unexpected and said we will no longer be releasing our movies to digital. The only way to own our movies going forward will be on physical media.

Thanks. I was wondering will these be so big releases that Scandinavia will have their own release with Finnish subtitles. Its quite expensive to import from the US after customs and shipping fees. I'd rather order somewhere from EU area. Now I'll have to wait and see if all the extras are included. If not, then I'll have to import from the US after all.

I saw that, but it is still too far, plus only being at 6 means there is no way I can get there on time with rush hour traffic after getting off at 5. If there was other showtimes then maybe I could. Thanks for looking out though, I appreciate it and am happy for those who are able to see it.

That's never going to happen but a filmmaker with enough influence (like Christopher Nolan) could demand that his film make its post-theatrical premiere on physical for a 6 month window before digital. If the film is popular enough AND made tons of money at the box office it could cause quite a bit of stir (in a good way for physical fans). I could see Nolan doing something like this. That guy can write his own ticket.

Is the UK version likely to still be cut?

This is the big question whether the BBFC will look at it again and pass it uncut. The fact that Zavvi and HMV have preorders up for True Lies and Aliens but not The Abyss might mean they are waiting till they can confirm that a uncut version can be released in the U.K - if it can’t I would guess it’s possible Disney won’t release it in that market.

I've gotta say, these last few days... I'm way more excited about The Abyss coming to UHD than anything else. I've never seen this one, and am pretty sure it's going to be a phenomenal experience. Regardless of any weird color tints or other issues.

I live for great sci-fi.
