The difference between the HDR10 base layer is pretty substantial between the two. Seems like an easy win for Eagle.

Quite significant color changes, particularly in the first reel and the war scenes. They’ve reminded me of Criterion and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Detail is great though and the encode holds up well (minus a bit of chroma noise). I’ll bet the Turbine fake-grain will be considered "better" by some. I’m definitely looking forward to the 4K.

Have you got a chance to compare the audio? Turbine initially promised lossless OG audio but then backtracked and only delivered lossy mixes.

I didn't know about the audio on the Turbine, so I only ripped the video. I don't have the disc any longer.

that's great Kobe, thanks!!! eagle is just a fractional sharper and a bit better encoded in the highlights, unfortunately is not english friendly. The Doors next please!

I've never seen The Doors, and I only do caps for movies for which I want to find the best version.

I can only do side-by-sides of the base layers and the SC has many more chroma artifacts, but honestly if you own the SC I wouldn't shell out for the Eagle because they're both very flawed encodes of a botched master. Hopefully we get a more faithful master in the future.
