What a great looking disc. Shout has been doing very good work in the last year or so. Those encoding issues with the Halloweens and The Craft seem to be a thing of the past.

looks like typical warner job to me: cooler grading for some parts, warmer on others, some chroma&grain management without waxy look, not so great uptick in detail, medium compression. not bad not excellent. something already seen other dozen times. way better than old bd for sure tho.

“Could do better” would be my half term report card. I think if an Arrow release was on the cards a bit later then the results would be far better.

Unlikely. Probably Éclair but the grading is nicely done and doesn’t exhibit any signs of blanket tints, as seen here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=12

Oh its blanket tint alright and the kino's 2nd cut just screams L'Immagine Ritrovata crazied green color grading and sure enough SC owns title. lol

There are always someone making excuses for botched color grading.

Anyway I wont derail this thread arguing with the color blind.

Thanks for these. They fixed framing and color issues (the print I saw recently wasn't so yellowish) but detail improvement is minimal and there's either a DNR pass or 'ol compression did that for you. It more or less looks like an decades old Blu-ray, not a new BD with a fresh scan let alone a proper UHD. Pretty disappointing if you ask me. If you didn't, I'll still says it anyway
