Super impressive encode for an awesome film indeed. This will be interesting to compare with Criterion and Curzon also releasing their own discs.

You are correct that excessive DNR has been applied to that 52-second credits shot. I've only sampled a bit, but that seems to be the worst of it.

I was disappointed to see black crush on the BFI release, but when I compared the BFI PQ and Criterion SDR screens, there was nothing lost in those shadows. The Criterion simply has brighter shadows where there’s no actual detail in the blacks.
