You saw it screen it's much grainy....in 4:2:2 , 4:2:0 working 4K/HDR for Contrast and Brightness.

You also have to make sure the HDMI input has UHD Color turned on and you're in Native color mode. Turn Deep Color to off in the player and output 4:4:4.

I cannot select both 2160 and 4:4:4 on my Samsung player. I tried that before and when I did I lost video signal (screen turns black)

I think the way it works is if your TV supports 4:4:4 it will choose that in Auto setting, regardless of content.

Or just choose 4:4:4 like Filmfreak said and leave it there for all content

Everything is in order with my Oled TV. I can try again I am just afraid taht if it doesnt work I will have no choice but do a factory reset on the Sammy. Once the screen goes black you cant do anything else

Both my Oled and Denon receiver are fully 4K hdcp 2.2. i have the TV conencted to the Denon on HDMI 2 ARC

You are trying to say that it is my Denon receiver that is stopping the Samsung UHD player from selecting 4:4:4 when resolution is on 2160 without screen blackout

First.
try your Samsung port straight to T.V. Max resoution 2160p without AV/receiver.
If working show screen 4K resoution.

Then switch port to AV/receiver.

If the thing blacks out on me I will be forced to do a factory reset and lose all my saved data> I have to do a test on the weekend when I have a few hours to spare. last time I tried to set 2160 and 4:4:4 together the video signal was gone and the only thing I could do is press and hold STOP button for factory reset
