This is a nice surprise. Since the DCP was 2K and giving the budget.

How was Brimstone shot and how did you maintain maximum quality in your workflow?
Brimstone was shot on ARRI Alexa XT full-frame raw with ARRI Master Anamorphic primes. We used a full ACES EXR workflow for the VFX, and I graded in ARRI Log C wide gamut, resulting in a 4K P3 DSM master.

Technically, The Young Pope has a UHD master, not a 4k master. I think it may be one of HBO's first series with a UHD master. From the May 2017 American Cinematographer:

Color timing was performed at Margutta Digital in Rome, with two colorists, Andrea Orsini and Paolo Verrucci — the latter of whom oversaw the final — devoted to the series. The grade was performed with Autodesk Lustre in 3840x2160 UHD resolution. For Bigazzi, “it’s a decisive moment of my work,” he says. “Digital printing makes it possible to render the true sense of a scene and to correct every single defect that speed sometimes forces you to accept. It’s a thrilling phase, and my relationship with the colorist is a source of great confidence and comfort even [while we’re shooting].”
