I always liked the idea of it being an 18 though, kinda builds to that idea of one of the scariest films of all time

I'm so giddy about this movie. I'm way more pumped for this than The Dark knigh Rises.

Can't remember the last time I was this excited for a movie

That's one of the best trailers I've ever seen, and I'm not even a big Alien fan.

I want to see it for the cast if nothing else -- it's one of the best recent ensembles I can recall.

Not too mention that the time on the Ship in ALIEN is cut short due to the face crawler incident, otherwise they may well have found it.

Very good points guys.

From what I understand, the invites were only for members of the AMC Stubs program (formerly MovieWatcher). I received an e-mail from Stubs asking me to register at another movie website, http://www.gofobo.com, where I was able to print out the screening passes. Once at the screening, I received the goodies on the picture.

Sorry, can't get the pic to post. Just regular 3-D glasses and the pass that you can hang around your neck. Poster was not lenticular, and no Weyland Corp card.

Well, at least you had live Q&A and probably a better screen to view the 3D than I had at Wondercon. How did you like the quality of the 3D trailer at AMC?

Ah. I just saw the pic you attached. You got a full size poster!. Looks like I need to stop going to Edwards theaters and start going to AMC. My poster although in 3D is only 12x18.

Well, the trailer and the Q & A session was in the theater's largest auditorium, so the screen was pretty big! It was better than sex! Well no, not really, but you get the idea! Nerdgasm! The first few rows were reserved for who I'm assuming to be Hollywood types, press, etc. The poster is pretty awesome, but if it were lenticular, like yours, I would be elated beyond belief. At any rate, it's going on my garage wall for sure!

Don't forget that some PG-13 films get 15's in the UK. Also, is Alien now rated a 15? My blu-ray Anthology has it as an 18
If this is not 18 i am not going to see it plus why does the space jockey look young (small and less scary compared to the one in ALIEN?) THE trailer for the Alien film was much better does not give much away compared to Prometheus

Is there any high quality 1080p download available for the UK trailer?

If I remember correctly, the Director's Cut of Alien was rated a 15 in 2003.

I think theres a site called http://www.iverged.com/ or something like that. Just visit it directly on your PS3 and then hit triangle and save as target when your on the trailer(s) you want to download and see the quality you can have.

It works a treat and recently downloaded trailers for The Avengers (trailer 2) and MIB 3 (Trailer 3) and some others, but i only use my PS3, so cannot tell you if it will be safe with a PC (would assume so, since no extra pop ups come up trying to install stuff - you know, the ones that come on those sites that are strictly NSFW or should be seen by SWMBO and say 'insert something' to save onto )

Btw, who really thinks that Scott would be so desperate to make an impact with the cinema audiences with the first trailer that he actually shows us the end of the film with the Space Jockey ship from Alien crashing? Seriously, if he has done that it's just plain stupid! And also rather confusing!

I'm also hacked off at the idea that there is a possibility that Aliens will be 'Out of canon' as it were. The idea that Weyland Corp would build a colony on a world that they had failed to spot was home to the Elder Gods pyramid and remains of an ancient space ship just doesn't jive. Not buying it. If it is the truth, someone needs a slap.

That's still not what I am looking for. Their file is obviously sourced from YouTube (the size and image quality matched with the file I downloaded from YT myself), i.e. horribly compressed, full of huge macroblocking, etc.

I found this: http://www.prometheusmovienews.com/2...-for-download/

It's higher quality (and much bigger in filesize) but the contrast seems to be way off.
