I've seen it twice and I have to admit that although it's flawed I can't wait for the blu-ray and hope that it does have an extended cut.
I'm also really really hoping for a sequel. (Sooner than later). Whether the sequel follows Shaw or is set on LV-223 and has to do with a rescue party I'm open to either. If you want a bigger BO draw then have it concern a rescue party of armed marines. Have Cameron do it. LOL. (I know he won't). So bluearth gets a facepalm just because you don't agree with him?
How about entering into some constructive criticism based on the points that he raised? |

Do we even know if there will be a sequel? I would think they would have to get around to doing the third act first.

I really liked Prometheus, and I can't wait to see it again, but to me, the problems with the film are that it originally started out as a direct prequel, but then they decided to make it its own entity. So it still had elements of the prequel, which is where I think people are getting confused. I like that it's veering off into its own franchise, but it would've been so easy for them set it on LV426 and have the Deacon come out of the Engineer while he was in the chair and start laying eggs all over the place, which contain the facehuggers we know and love. The only thing that would contradict that timeline is that mural which shows xenomorphs already exist. But from the sound of it, they're saying it's just an homage to Giger. So are we supposed to ignore it?
