So, what does this mean? The latest viral audio is now on the What is 10 11 12 site: http://www.whatis101112.com/audio/
Speculation is that it is the Deacon speaking. Unconfirmed translation is "Die for the Emperor" or "Die trying" Could it be the Deacon speaking to the dying Engineer at "birth"? |

From Anil Biltoo, the creator of the Engineer language:
Prometheus | Digest Movies said, June 19, 2012 @ 8:32 am […] actually say to the Engineer at the end? (A discussion among linguists about this is over at the Language Log). Does Shaw really "deserve to know why" the Engineers changed their minds about […] Anil said, June 19, 2012 @ 9:03 am Aah… now that's one heck of a question! One might argue that humans had more than exceeded their makers' expectations by developing the ability (or having the impudence) to travel to the planet/moon referred to as LV223 and to demand anything whatsoever. We're all going to have to wait for the Director's cut to see if the conversation between the Engineer and David - and there was indeed originally a conversation, not merely an utterance from David - yields any fruit. A knowledge of PIE will help but, as was the intention, the dialogue is not in a single known (or reconstructed) language. One can only suppose that 'Engineer' and PIE are in some way related but separated by many millennia and exhibiting marked differences. Was Anil speculating about the Director's Cut? http://languagelog.ldc.upenn.edu/nll/?p=4008 |

I voted 3 stars. This is how I would rank the Alien(s) and Alien Vs. Predator films.
1- Aliens ![]() 2- Alien Vs. Predator 3- Alien 4- Alien Resurrection 5- Prometheus 6- Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem 7- Alien 3 Alien Resurrection and Prometheus "could" switch places. Everytime I see the trailer (Prometheus), I really want to watch it again. I have 2 months to decide whether I want to buy this on Oct. 9 or not. Oh, Charlize.....smooch, smooch! ![]() ![]() |
