After watching the beginning of both teasers, I am wondering that maybe they worked in a bit of Ron Cobb's original ALIEN bridge design into Prometheus's.

Myself, Have kept my expectations to a minimum and going by the trailers I should be plenty pleased.

Although perhaps somebody could explain the logic of having a whole helmet made out of fragile material

Don't know what it is made from but look at the trailers/teasers at the big Glass looking dome helmet thing.

Just seems like a stupid design choice for a rather important piece of protection/life support.

Charlize and Ridley were just on the chat, and someone asked him if he thought that ALIEN3 and RESURRECTION were canon?

He said- "No."

He said only that he considered James Cameron's sequel canon.

That is awesome hearing it come from Scott himself. I've always considered only the first 2 cannon and I've barely watched 3 and Resurrection.
