technically that specific shot isnt in the trailer, but we see like 2 seconds before that shot.

[Show spoiler]Magellan is the Prometheus drop ship. That's how I have been referring to it from time to time.

I assume Prometheus is is in orbit. What may be confusing is the statement "The Prometheus has landed" in the trailer. That is common practice in the Navy as well. Auxillary craft bear the same name as the 'mother' ship.

Have you noticed the use of MUTHUR on some of the display panels on some of the screencaps. ID of the shipboard computer is the same as used in Alien.

[Show spoiler]
Actually another one of their threads was throwing around the idea that the Magellan had landed there before Prom.

And up till now, I was not buying into the idea that it's the Magellan that we have been seeing in the trailers.

However, looking at that new HD pic of the aft end of the ship today, and noticing that it's drive engines pivot around the ship's base like the hands of a clock, it does appear that it's rear end does serve some sort of significant purpose other than just having to be there.

Take a look.

Is that some sort of airlock there in it's ass that would connect to another much bigger ship???

[Show spoiler]

.
[Show spoiler]It seems likely that it is a drop ship. They have used the concept in Alien and Aliens.
More evidence that
[Show spoiler]Magellan is in the movie. Unless it was an early name for the Prometheus ship (third post from the bottom): http://www.prometheusforum.net/discu...etheus-faqs/p2

For those that are interested, the Investor Information Module is now open in the Weylandinustries, com dropdown menu. Loads of info. Check it out. Stock is a little pricey.

Fox is sending emails to those of us who registered on weylandindustries.com

MEDPOD 720I PATENTED

Weyland Industries earns patent number 16,572,092 for Method and Apparatus for the first fully-automated diagnosis and surgical station.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2061

And also notice that she is NOT in the restraints.

So she is performing surgery on HERSELF!

That explains a ton right there.

[Show spoiler]
And I bet the rest of the crew never even knew she had one of those in the oven. So here boyfriend became infected(trailer scenes of that alien worm digging into his eye), then impregnates her. So she keeps it a secret from the rest of the crew. It grows inside her at a tremendous rate(similar to the 2 alien stages from ALIEN). She finally does an ultrasound on herself(like Ripley did in Alien3), where she discovers the unholy abomination inside her. Then has the automated surgical station perform surgery on her, and thereafter stumbles down the corridor and into the lab, where she then collapses onto the floor in front of everybody.

So what do you think about this guys???

Lol your spacing is nuts! I had to delete so much extra space. Anyway, very interesting tidbits of info. I'm so intrigued by this film that my hopes of avoiding this thread, and spoilers, is seemingly impossible.

[Show spoiler]More significant is the white pseudopodenous Engineer? attacking her head.

What do you think about that?

[Show spoiler]That's probably the Space Jockey helmet being dragged back to the ship by the crewmember in the middle of the picture. The one we see them examining in the med lab in the trailer.

Why not add to the discussion instead of mocking others?

Don't worry about it. I saw the eye roll and jumped to conclusions.

Yea I should've picked something that looked more shocking, I can see how that looked bad though. It was supposed to be looking up at the pic from above

Does anyone have a higher resolution of this? http://cinemavine.com/wp-content/upl...hi_res_210.png

The view screens in the upper part of the picture seem to show a quad image of the
[Show spoiler]walled monolith enclosure and cloud cover. This could be Prometheus in orbit, with the images coming from Magellan, the drop ship on the ground.

That zoom lens really plays havoc with depth in the ABOVE pic, doesn't it?

Has anyone else seen this image from the Prometheus trailer? Looks like a crucified Alien or Alien Queen!
