This might be the ending..

looks like the Space Jockey is the same one who is found in Alien and in the last 8 minutes we will get to see an Alien Queen bursting out of his ribcage and presumably laying the eggs that poor old Kane ends up with.

Do you mean it might be too scary for you? I think any casual fan of sci-fi owes it to themselves to see it.

Same here, except for the decades part. I've only been alive for two.
I'm only 26, but I can honestly say films haven't scared me since I was about 6. I started watching intense horror at the age of 3, so within a few years, it was all yawns for me

Who the **** lets a 3 year old watch Intense Horror , Or was this a sneaky, sneaky, steal daddy's movie situation.

I am with ya though. I haven't seen one Horror movie that actually scared me since I was like 10 ( nightmare on elm street ) although, PG 13 horror was never really going to cut it, was it

You gotta take the era I grew up in into consideration. Young baby-sitters in the late 80's and early 90's loved franchise horror films and would often get together with their friends at my place and watch them continuously, not taking my presence into consideration. I have fond memories of sitting at the crack of a door or from behind couches, watching Halloween and Nightmare on Elm St sequels intently. I distinctly remember staying up on halloween nights to catch showings of Creepshow or the Blob remake. There was also a lousy roommate of my moms who had the nerve to show me a bootleg of Akira when I was like 5. That shit scarred me.
The early 90's was also the rise of Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs. You can bet that my ass was planted on the couch every Saturday night, watching the likes of the Night of the Living Dead remake, the Return of the Living Dead films, The Funhouse etc. Also was USA Up All Night, which often showed Friday the 13th marathons and such. Needless to say, it was a great time to be a kid. Cartoons kicked ass, toys kicked ass, breakfast cereal kicked ass, and late night movies on TV were still a staple. I miss it dearly.

Huge plus in favor of the film. Shooting well in the dark is a true sign of skill.

If the audio on the trailer played at Wondercon is representative of the full soundtrack, you will be amazed.

I somehow missed this haha. No, I intend to not expose my kids to stuff they're not ready for. I will play it by ear and simply pay attention to them and figure out what they're mature enough for as time goes by. I won't follow ratings so much as I'll trust my instincts.

I always liked how he broke the films down:
"Okay, this one's got seventeen ax killings, a gofl-ball choking, four pairs of breasts, an exploding car, and one mean-ass redneck with a shotgun."

With Elvira, I could never remember what she was talking about...or what she looked like from the neck up or the naval down.

Joe Bob Briggs lived by the 3 B's.......Blood, Beasts and Breasts. His greatest complement for a movie was and I quote "Anyone could die at any time."(Evil Dead). I miss him.
