Actually, a google search for Prometheus Movie will get you 2.5 million hits and a search for Prometheus Movie News 3.5 million hits. Much of it is redundant, but still a lot of info out there. Anyone who wants to watch a movie without any preknowledge probably shouldn't watch the trailer, let alone visit this thread.

An interesting find is a youtube 11 minute video of comicon 2011 interview of Noomi Rapace and Ridley Scott. Charlize Theron is also in it. It clearly establishes that the shot of the oval spaceship above the waterfall was filmed in Iceland and

[Show spoiler]is the first scene in the Prometheus movie which takes place at the beginning of the earth (during the terraforming phase?)

Re the Prometheus teaser trailer: It has been established that the chronology of the shots in the trailer do not match the chronology in which those scenes appear in the movie since

[Show spoiler]In reference to the Ridley Interview above, any talk of how a 2nd android comes into play???!?! Also may or may not be related but what is Guy Pearce's role in all of this? He is not in the trailer from what I've seen and not mentioned in the scene by scene breakdown, however, Ridley mentions him as one of the main players in Prometheus. This would lead me to assume that his role is being kept secret; and furthermore would mean what..... he's an alien? On IMDb he is listed as Stannison?

im pretty sure the bespectacled individual in the foreground is Guy Pearce

he turns towards the camera as it dissolves into the next shot but if you pause it at the right moment it sure looks like him. i dont think his role is a secret i just dont think he plays a major part (aka he dies somewhat early).

Yes, but I would not be so quick to reject the entire "fake" synopsis out of hand. There are too many elements that mesh with the scenes in the teaser trailer. In fact, regarding the

[Show spoiler]second android, this is Charlize Theron's comment about her character: Theron said that her role was unusual for her. She’s playing a “suit” named Vickers that’s in charge of the central mission of the film. She said that she plays “a machine in charge of the machine” — it’s unclear if she’s referring to the spaceship that the rest of the crew is on, or if she’s actually referring to her character as being a machine as well.

[Show spoiler]as Ridley pointed out at the beginning of the Comicon interview in July, the first scene in the movie (which was filmed last in Iceland) is of the watefall, just as noted in the "fake" synopsis.

As a caveat, I would add that the fake, debunked synopsis started showing up on the internet in August, a few weeks after the July 21 2011 comicon interview with Lindelof, Theron, Rapace and Scott.
