There is still disagreement about LV 426 being part of the Prometheus movie. 'Ripley' (Sigourny Weaver) thinks it will be:
There seemed to be brewing tensions between Weaver and Fox studios for some time. She was quoted as saying that she would liked to make one last Alien story where the crew went back to the planet, though she thought it unlikely that Fox would agree to cast an action hero over the age of 60. She no longer subscribes to this view, though she readily admits to radical differences in opinion: "Fox and I disagreed on how the franchise should continue. But I'm glad it's Ridley doing it, and I'll be as curious as anyone, or maybe more curious, to see it. I think he took my suggestion. Fox wanted to go to earth and I said: 'That's so boring. Who wants to see aliens on earth?' I said 'go back to the planet'." http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...n-6291884.html |

There was word that Prometheus was originally going to be a 2 part film, but is now 1. If Fox want to make a sequel to the film that links Prometheus with Alien i'm sure they still have Paul W S Anderson's number on hand for hackwork.

When watching the films, you can tell the first AVP was made by a huge Alien fan; and AVP 2 was made by huge Predator fans. The Aliens tend to dominate in AVP; while the Predator owns them in AVP 2 |

I prefer AVP 2. The Predato looks MUCH better. In AVP, the Predator looks like he can barely move. |
