That is from the 1 minute IMAX trailer.

[Show spoiler]I don't see the other walls and domes when I view the trailer. You sure this is legit? Edit: nevermind. I found a higher res video of the IMAX trailer and I see the other domes. That shot doesn't appear on the 2:33 Trailer introduced for the first time at Wondercon. That is interesting.

Regarding continuity, check the 1979 Alien movie orange graphic radar display of the LV-426 terrain as the Nostromo lands starting at 0:15:18. You can see a flat valley surrounded by mountains which looks very much like the area shown in this IMAX trailer still.

I know it's probably been discussed before but is anyone going to be sorely disappointed if they do actually release a PG-13 version in theaters? I keep praying for an R rated cut but the more I read, the more I think it's not going to happen

From an interview on 17 March: Beaks: I have to ask about the rating. Has that been resolved yet? R or PG-13?

Scott: It will be what it is. At the end of the day, you've got to go for the best movie - and that comes from Tom Rothman basically.

Lindelof: You directed the movie that you wanted to direct though.

Scott: Yeah, yeah. Of course, you go for as stringent as possible. But at the end of the day, it's a pretty good relationship with me and Tom.

Interesting... maybe there is some glimmer of hope then.

Agreed, based on the trailer I have a hard time seeing how this would be PG13.

[Show spoiler]The ship on the left is the Magellan shuttle which just detached from Prometheus, in the center. This is just before Prometheus rams the alien ship causing the crash landing. This is the set for Magellan. http://www.prometheus-movie.com/uplo...et_weyland.png. We know now that the logo is actually the Weyland Corp logo, not Weyland Yutani. We know Vickers is in the shuttle, because we see her jumping down from the airlock in the trailer. That puts Vickers and Shaw on the ground as seen at the end of the teaser trailer running to avoid being crushed by the rolling alien spacecraft. So, whoever survives has a way off the planet via the Magellan. This may lend plausiblity to this all taking place on LV-426. As noted in prior posts, we appear to be on a planetoid in orbit around a ringed gas giant. This is seen in Alien as well as the Prometheus trailers. The crash site of the alien ship and its position relative to the walled monolith/pyramid matches the description in Dan O'Bannon's original screenplay, even though the pyramid did not appear in the Alien movie.

In the commentary on 1979 Alien, Ridley Scott said he shot the hypersleep chamber crew awakening with all the actors completely naked. I wonder what happened to that footage?

Okay, bit of a rumination on the frame-grab jigsaw of the Prometheus storyline, plus further thoughts on the story based on the tv spots:

I really don't think that the Space Jockey is previously one of the human crew members. Bearing in mind the fact that the Prometheus myth is about a Titan who gave humans fire and then raised the ire of the gods, something along these lines must happen in the film, and i think that when the humans enter the Puramid, they do get to meet the Elder Gods, one of whom does give the crew a gift, but they take more than that and that raises the wrath of the Space Jockeys.

Just rewatched Alien.

Timeless movie. The music, atmosphere, acting is perfect.

This is in my honest opinion Ridley Scotts masterpiece.

And if they in the near future try to remake this I swear to god there will be consequences.

[Show spoiler] re the white slug-like entity. Are you saying that's what was removed and it instantaneously grew to that size? If you watch that segment of the trailer, it seems to be growing small pseudopods from the trunk that are touching her head at one point. I do remember in one of the first teaser trailers, there was something distending her stomach while she was in the surgical pod, so maybe you're right.

Hasn't anyone considered that Theron's creepy character may have put the slug like creature in the medlab with Roomi's character while she was sedated? I'm thinking someone on the crew pulled a Burke. We know Theron's character is a corporate worker like Burke. Or I could be entirely wrong.

I would like them to update the explosion at the end. Same as In ALEINS I would like the ship as it descends on to the planet to be redone.

Both of those scenes show there age, effects wise
