Also the font seems very "B" sci-fi movie.

Just my opinion

I would suggest working in some abstract Giger designs into it maybe, and even that pyramid that is rumored to be making an appearance in the upcoming film by putting it in the very distant background.

Good! I like her better as an actress than Jolie.

Fassbender: Prometheus is definitely connected to Alien
MTV just had a chat with Michael Fassbender, and according to him Prometheus is definitely connected to the Alien universe.

"Oh, absolutely. There's a definite connecting vein. You realize you're part of something else, but it's definitely in keeping with the old ones"

Fassbender is rumored to play an android named David in the same vein as Ash and Bishop beofore him in Alien and Aliens respectively.
He says that although it explores other areas of the Alien universe, it appears that Prometheus and Alien appear in the same space according to the script.

"When I read it, I was like, 'Well, okay, another Alien. Where do you go with this idea?' And then I sort of read the script, and it's new, yet it's in keeping with the old traditions as well. But there's a whole new revelation within this film."

"The first 'Alien' [movies], they were thrillers," he continued. "Something's going on. It's creeping, it's sinister. Things are happening, it's building, [and there are] different sorts of intrigues and politics going on between the different relationships on board."

According to Fassbender it's not all about horror in the same way that Alien was, it also adds more action as Noomi Rapace has hinted at previously.

"There's action in it," he said, "but the intelligence is what struck me when I read it. It's more sort of like the original ones. There are things happening and building, and the intelligence of the first two-thirds of the film gets you ready for the action."

As well as Noomi Rapace, it seems Fassbender is hard at work preparing physically for his part in Prometheus:

"I was thinking about doing some yoga, some Pilates. I need to sort out my posture a little bit. I want to be as tall as I can standing next to those aliens!"

So this all seems like good news for Alien fans out there who might have been worried that Ridley Scott's Prometheus might stray a little too far away from the Alien universe.

Hmmm, It seems like we'll see a different sort of alien instead of the alien by the way he's talking about.

Hopefully it isn't just a re-hash of the original with a different creature

Though I would like to think Ridley Scott is smarter than that

story details are under-wraps... what we know so far it's just a hint. I think we are in for a treat... I know as die hard alien fans as we are we want to know every little detail, but for once, I am going to try to avoid any "story related news" because I want to be shocked when I see it!!! I do however want to know more about casting and production details but I need to do what I can to stay away from story spoilers.

They say Prometheus is set within the same space as Alien(s) and has a definate connecting vein to Aliens. We know most importantly its not the Xenomorphs, Ridley or any of the characters from the previous films but there is an android like Ash and Bishop so that leads me to believe the "connecting vein" could be "The Company"

I hope not. "The Evil Corporation" bit has been played to death.

I don't think the company has been explored at all, too many questions left to answer, who are they, why the xenomorph and why make air breathable. Fans should realize one thing, not all of you will like the prequel, everyone has different ideas of what the origins should be. I def think it's great we are going to see a different point of you, maybe this could be a brand new saga. I honestly think one movie may not be enough to answer all the questions...

As anyone heard rumors that the teaser trailer will be attached to transformers 3?

That just isn't going to happen, Transformers 3 is distributed by Paramount and this will be by 20th Century Fox. Plus barely anything of this film will be shot by then, and you do have to include the work on CGI to be done.

According to international movie data base, 2 other main roles have yet to be cast, I wonder if they are male or female roles. Another rummor control has it that Elizabeth Shaw played by Noomi Rapace is actually Ellen Ripley's mother!!

Since there are two more roles to cast, what are your picks for male or female actors??? It's hard to tell.

Oh and filming has been pushed back to spring, so maybe late march, I'm sure by then we will know complete cast information and they are prob going under negotiations. I'm very pleased with the casting choices so far.

Sky confirms space jockeys in Prometheus
A couple of weeks ago British broadcaster Sky reported that a source close to them had revealed to the joy of many Alien fans that Prometheus will indeed involve the space jockey from Alien. Today Sky confirms this story stating that an insider has told them that the space jockey is being designed under the guidance of HR Giger, the original "father" of the space jockey.

And this time around, the space jockey won't be long gone and dead as it was in the original Alien. The insider says to Sky:

"I’ve had further confirmation that the Space Jockey creature is definitely in Prometheus and has been built as an eight foot animatronic."

Sky also reiterates that Prometheus will include a giant CGI developed head controlling one of the spaceships in the movie. And apparently this head will be semi-human...

"I’ve also had it confirmed that HR Giger is working on the project but only in an advisory capacity. By the way, people are going to be in for a shock when they sit down to watch Prometheus and there’s an enormous semi-human head piloting a spaceship."

It is without doubt a relief to many Alien fans to hear that HR Giger is still involved in Prometheus. After the news that Ridley Scott's return to science fiction was no longer a prequel to Alien but an entirely new project, many fans began to speculate whether or not Giger was still involved.

The more I think about it, the more I can see why the film is just name Prometheus than adding the title Alien to it, it's for marketing purpose, if the title Alien would had been added then people might had associated the blockbuster failures of Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection, so giving the film an original title may draw new viewers to give the movie s chance rather than have people say oh no not another alien movie. I personally don't like the title Prometheus but it's a marketing stunt to throw people off, any thoughts?

Giant human head? As Ripley said in Resurrection "I don't like it" then Wren said "Whats to like?"

this is the same director that wanted the alien to take a piece of ripley's brain and talk in a human voice to gateway, remember? So this movie might get very weird

Yeah I'm sure everyone would run off from the sights of a new Alien movie from Ridley Scott
