Ray, i think that you are reading into it too much. Yes, the character of Weland is vital in the overall storyarc, but i don't think his actual role in the film will be of major importance. Weyland Industries is a juggernaut of power, and the idea that it isn't faceless but has more in common with Micro$haft and Apple is a smart move by having a charismatic CEO.

This is starting to look like the viral marketing campaign Lindelof had his hand in for Lost a few years back with all the hidden links and buried clues.

Check out the tweets, there may be some links in them:

I honestly didn't know Pearce was British. I've only seen Memento. Well that explains his stellar acting.

We know that parts of the Prometheus movie take place about 30 years prior to the Alien movie time line. I was suggesting that the scene in the trailer of the Alien ship crashing took place thousands or millions of years prior to the Nostromo crew discovering it in the Alien movie. Yes, its pretty far fetched, but how else do you explain the similarities of the ship and the Spacejockey pilot room in the two films?

Ridley Scott said that the last eight minutes of Prometheus evolve into the Alien movie: http://www.ifc.com/fix/2011/11/ridley-scott-prometheus

The argument falls apart, as you said, without some element of time travel involved.
He's done a hell of a job keeping things secret. I'm surprised seeing as how everything gets leaked early. On the other hand, it's confusing me and I'm sure a lot of other people.

Also, a recent interview sometime in the past 2 weeks (I forgot where I saw it, someone probably posted it on here) Scott was debating whether or not to make a Blade Runner prequel/sequel or a Prometheus sequel.

Don't let the Aussies hear you say that! He's Australian, although born in England I believe.

I wonder how many more viral video's we will see before the film debuts? The quality of this first one is outstanding.

What they are doing there is trying to identify links in the tweets that are oog or 'out of game'. Not legitimate and not part of the viral marketing campaign for Prometheus. There was a lindelof tweet that identified a few of them as fake, earlier today. I followed a few of them. One led to a utube video made over a year ago and another to a "wayland-Yutani" site.

Same here.

I was using that one as wallpaper also when the sceencaps were released a couple of months ago.

However, I changed it back to a baseball themed one now.

Zoom to 400%. What is that pink matter at the bottom of the image? Could it be part of the alien ship's brain? In the Alien movie, it was suggested that the ship itself had, at one time, been a living entity.

I don't see anything weird or confusing about it. They are running down, links, etc. for ARG's. Weyland Industries is an ARG. For those who aren't familiar with the term, this will help: http://www.argn.com/

Yea, I remember that being questioned about earlier.

However to me, they do bare a slight resemblance to an automatic weapon's magazine. So maybe they are some sort of seed dispenser for maybe...

...ampoules that will transform into alien eggs????

Seems to me, the higher your placement in the Character List, the more importance your character has in the movie. Pearce is 5th from the top. How could he only be in the movie for a minute??
