Are we to assume the 4K/UHD version of Spider-Man: Far From Home, on FandangoNow is the IMAX Enhanced version? Movie gets released tomorrow.

it used to be that studios and such wanted to make money - now a days they just dick us around and make us guess when and if a product is ever going to get released - what is IMAX's reasoning on being so obtuse regarding IE UHD disc releases ???

What do you mean nonsense? There is no technological update for IE other than ”certification” (read: pay licensing money to get IE, as there is absolutely zero technological parameter that makes a panel IE certified or otherwise. Not colour accuracy, not video processing, not specific HDR capability, no flagging, nothing. There is no tests done to determine a display is IE certified or not. Only licensing fee.
A display that is not IE certified or designed to be IE certified can suddenly be IE certified as soon as the manufacturer is willing to pay for it. The nonsense part is the IE certification for display. |
