So I had my surgery yesterday, being discharged in 15 minutes ... Was expecting to see Criterion releases, but it a was nice of them to wait for me.

Can somebody please give me a list of 10-15 criterion a you feel are must owns? I'm trying to get into them but have absolutely no idea where to start, I'm a fan of all genres other than horror

I watched Hidden Fortress a couple of months ago for the first time. By "inspiration" I had in my mind..."Star Wars: The Japanese Years".

I would have enjoyed the movie more if I found out after watching that it inspired Star Wars. I (unfairly) viewed it comparing everything about it to Lucas' film.
