One of these days, I need to try a flat race course, because all of the ones around here are pretty hilly. |

Would anyone recommend Sundays and Cybele? I recently watched Rapture (1965), and I was very impressed by the performance of the young Patricia Gozzi.
I can highly recommend Rapture to any film buff. Such a haunting and beautiful film with a lush score. Gozzi is amazing in it, and it also features a young Dean Stockwell. The Blu-ray was released several years ago by Twilight Time; however, it's still relatively easy to find, and a copy can be found for a reasonable price. |

Sundays and Cybele is an incredible film that does not get a lot of love here in the thread. It's an under-recognized treasure in the same way that Rapture is. |

Another film that seems under-recognized to me is Marketa Lazarová. I had to watch that twice in one day in order to grasp the plot (and it's a long film), but it was so worth it. |

Nah man, I don't consider my self a fan either. Couldn't stand Wings of Desire. I do like and want Until the End of the World, but that's just the sci-fi fan (and maybe the Sam Neill fan) in me crying out.

BTW, was just cleaning and found a book entitled "Ingmar Bergman" with a screenshot from Persona on the front. I've owned this book for like ... I don't know, decades. I've never read it. It just got lost in the "pile." Looks like I have something to do after golf in the morning. |

Gosh, speaking of things that belong on Criterion (or just on Blu-ray, period)...I'm not sure what kind of critical stock that movie holds these days, but it certainly made a splash in the '90s and Rogers's performance is great. Perfectly bizarre blend of Skinemax-esque smut (at least as I remember it -- I suspect revisiting it, it might not seem so explicit) with an uncompromisingly dark sensibility.
