Rotten Tomatoes features 20 critics with negative ratings, if you are really curious for some negative feedback.

I watched a whole block of Philip Leacock directed films last night on TCM and came away very impressed. Some real gems such as Take a Giant Step, Hand in Hand, Reach For Glory, and a very simple story I really enjoyed-Innocent Sinners. One that wasn't shown but is the crown jewel of his films with children IMO is The Kidnappers aka The Little Kidnappers. Absolute charmer of a movie. I don't know who has control of these films but a quick search didn't turn up much other than a few YouTube snippets and a complete copy of The Kidnappers. I wish some of these could at least be considered for release on a label like Criterion. Highly unlikely, I know but at least be available on some format.

If I can really dig deep for a wish I'd love a release of Powell and Pressburger's Stairway To Heaven/A Matter Of Life And Death. Niven and Hunter are great in this and having Criterion release this would make my year.

We got two upgrades last month, so I'm guessing Criterion thinks they've staved off all the "Upgraders" (new group name? Like birthers ) for a couple of months. Being a full-fledged upgrader myself, I hope I'm wrong though.

Yes, I fully expect to get A Face in the Crowd, Klute, and The Magnificent Ambersons, which are the only ones remaining from that list of Warner movies that went OOP at the same time. All the rest have been announced by Criterion already.

It blows my mind that Roman Holiday still hasn't been released yet. I really hope it's this year.

I normally wouldn't trust Amazon to mail a digipak, but I've got other orders coming in from them for that release date as well, and, with free shipping, it's worth the hassle not to have to drive to a Barnes & Noble.
