What's truly shocking about it's 9 Academy Award nominations, is that Franz Waxman's beautiful score wasn't one of them.
True that.

I just bought a copy of the Peyton Place Blu-ray on eBay. There were 4 other watchers on the item. It was originally $65.99 and I was planning this for Friday (payday). But the seller offered a discounted price $59.49 so I took advantage before the other watchers could react.

Eek, the $16.27 (give or take a couple pennies) shipped I paid back in '18 seems like quite the bargain compared to that racket.

It's also one of TT's more loaded releases (thought I haven't gotten around to the extras yet.) Exquisite summer movie, but I wish they had filmed it in the fall...autumnal Camden, Maine surely has to be its own brand of ravishing.

It even made it to (and sold out during) the 2020 liquidation sale. I picked it up for $11!

I just have the movie on DVD. I didn't even know there was a Twilight Time blu ray until I saw it posted here! I hope you enjoy your purchase!

Every now and then they do a packaging replacement program. $5 a piece for stuff. While I’m sure cases are $5 each too, you can also get a 5-pack of cases way cheaper. Not sure how getting 2-disc or 3-disc cases works. The only rule is no OOP stuff.

When the lights went up at the end, the auditorium was empty.

Now John Waters is providing a testimonial for Vincent Price on TCM and they had Pink Flamingos on just a few weeks ago (Mind you, they had Belle du Jour on at dinner time yesterday, and that was banned for ten years in Ireland).

So what is Female Trouble like?
Assuming you meant they played Pink Flamingos on TCM, was it the same as the Blu, the DVD, the laserdisc, or the OG tape? They all had differences, mainly the soundtrack.

The Vincent Price movies would probably popular be picks, but I think Criterion would probably go with something like Little Shop of Horrors or The Terror.
I think there’s too many notable ones for them to pick, so they’d do several in either a box set or at least a 2- or 3-disc set.

I have a very hard to find one to recommend: Raintree County. Very soapy, Liz Taylor plays a nutty woman from the South who has a one-night stand with Montgomery Clift. Clift is about to marry his high school sweetheart Eva Marie Saint, but then Liz gets pregnant so he marries her instead. He then finds out she’s insane, she flees south of the Mason Dixon Line just as the Civil War starts, and the Clift has to join the Union army to go south and find her.

Probably in my top 5 most wanted Blu-rays right now.

Criterion could make some money simply reprinting some slipcovers.

For whatever reason to even print an OOP title’s booklet or cover is not allowed, but they sent me some laserdisc paperwork once maybe 4 years ago.
