I hope it’s something like this (But double headed and have young Leaud in the front and old Leaud in the back.

That, plus Shoot the Piano Player. The Doinel set is high on my wishlist along with the Lean/Dickens duo.

Criterion on laserdisc had Two English Girls aka: Anne and Muriel, but I guess lost the rights too it. Thankfully Artificial Eye has a very nice BD of it.

Who has the rights to the last two Truffaut films? The Women Next Door and Confidentially Yours? I'm assuming Criterion. Besides these Truffaut films mentioned and Such a Gorgeous Kid Like Me, I believe everything else is now available on BD in the USA. Of course the Doinel films make up four of the nine missing films so yeah, get on it already Criterion.

Have the Artificial Eye release, but would double-dip to upgrade my Criterion DVD. After, Day for Night, it's my second favorite Truffaut.

I hope they have at least one other classic Hollywood film for the month. While I don't dislike the film, I don't care to own it.

Ooh maybe you’re right, I see La dolce vita has 11 stills which seems like a lot - def more than the spines before and after it, and even compared to 8 1/2.

When was the last time they did two pre-1960 Hollywood films in the same month?

True I think it's cool they're upgrading a classic, especially by non-powerhouse director Dieterle—I guess I'm just disappointed it's not my favorite film of his... Anyway, fingers crossed for something cool

Criterion Collection announcements are typically on the 15th of each month unless the 15th falls on Saturday, Sunday, or a 'Floating Monday' federal holiday such as MLK day or President's Day. If this is the case, the announcements are usually moved to the next business day. In some rare cases where the 15th falls on a weekend, the announcements are moved up to the preceding Friday.

The time of the announcements is typically before 1 PM EST (New York) but in some cases may be later in the afternoon after 3 PM.

None of that applies here except for the part where you said before 1PM EST which is correct. To be more precise, between NOON-1PM EST so it's still early.

Yes, that's true. I posted it as a reference because it comes up often.

Strong feeling that they’re announcing it today after the Devil and Daniel Webster upgrade. La Dolce Vita 4K would be nice, considering how long the film is and how much information it would’ve taken the disc to load.

I would sell my soul to the devil to have a release of Too Old to Die Young.

Also, I think it's bleh all these 4K upgrades and all the stuff that still needs a HD debut.

Where is Baby Face?!

I would commit murder for a blu-ray (or 4K) release of Baby Face.

If my memory serves, February 2022 which had Love Affair (1939) and Written On The Wind (1956).

They have released 2 in the same month a few times before that, so there is hope for us. Off the top of my head are some more titles:

High Sierra/Colorado Territory in one release
All About Eve and Now, Voyager
Nightmare Alley and Merrily We Go to Hell
Show Boat and Leave Her to Heaven

I'm hoping for any long rumored classic Hollywood title they've been linked to.
