Strongest lineup of titles in months, I want almost everything. Werckmeister Harmonies 4K, I Am Cuba 4K, Dogfight and maybe La haine 4K upgrade for me. What an absolutely beautiful month. No complaints. I don’t think it could be any better than this.

Well, I've never seen Werckmeister Harmonies and Dogfight, but these would be my picks for the April releases.

Delightful month. I’m especially happy when a film like Dogfight appears; small, personal, maybe just a hint of movie star energy. My heart leaped a little when I saw it - I don’t know if I had that reaction since, oh, Claudine got the Criterion nod.

Yeah damn, I Am Cuba is a huge announcement. Might be in for Picnic at Hanging Rock as well but I'm gonna wait for reviews first.

Pretty strong month though overall.

The new master has been controversial. Geoff D from the forums, who has worked on QC for Second Sight's releases, speculates that there has been aggressive film grain removal followed by addition of digital grain which looks unnaturally uniform.

Whomever wrote this did a great job! It's been a long time since I've seen this movie but I look forward to picking up this release.

Master and Commander is with Fox, so extremely unlikely. I am surprised Warner Archive hasn't done a release of The Year of Living Dangerously yet. I could see them, or CC releasing it eventually.

I have to imagine The Last Wave will come out sooner than later as well. It was released in 4K in Australia last year.

Haha. I actually do need to buy that, especially now that I have a daughter which I didn't when that was released. Looks like something we would enjoy together.

There was a recent interview with Ethan Hawke where he says, IIRC, that Weir told him working with Crowe and Johnny Depp (on an abandoned project) pretty much killed any pleasure he got from making films.
