any info on the Yojimbo/Sanjuro Boxset? Are they 2 seperate clear bluray cases with own cover art for each in 1 big slipcase or 1 clear bluray boxset case with Yojimbo/Sanjuro box set cover art?

in either case which one/s are you buying?

I think I want them seperately unless box set includes both in seperate cases for a better price than buying 2 seperately

I think separate cases in a cardboard case, like Monterey Pop. I only say that because on The Criterion Store, they are available individually for sale or as a set, similar to the DVDs.

Dang, I paid $20 to get cases for 400 Blows, Third Man, Last Metro and Chungking Express in October. I promptly received the Third Man case but I guess the rest of my order was forgotten. I just sent a reminder.

Can't wait for March to get the upcoming Kurosawas.

I'm pretty sure you can bet on the "Yojimbo"/"Sanjuro" boxset to have two separate blu-ray cases with a cardboard box slipcover just like the DVD boxset. Criterion has yet to put out a 2-disc clear case, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle the "Seven Samurai" release. As for me, I'm always going to buy the boxset packages, which should always come in at a lower price.

As will I..... I guess if they release a 2 or 3 film set, and someone doesn't like every film in the set, it makes sense to buy them individually..... but the "completeist" in me needs them all

I emailed the site about which email address to send the $5 for the Third Man case to no avail. I read through the FAQ and didn't see anything about replacement cases.... ?

I'm glad I didn't make up my mind to collect "complete" Criterion titles.

For whatever reason I've apparently decided to get all Criterion and Blue Underground titles. It was never a really conscious choice, just kinda happened - until the first time there was a film I wasn't really interested in. That would be Monterey Pop for Criterion and My Brilliant Career for Blue Underground. Decided to stick with the Criterion collecting, still undecided on BU as that flick looks bad (though everything else they've announced so far looks incredible).

Short Cuts

Julianne Moore's Fiery Scene is the selling point for me ( and if that would be on HIGH DEF.. WOW!).

I cannot wait for this to be released in Blu Ray Format

Well, it's been confirmed that the Masters Of Cinema blu-ray release of Fritz Lang's "M" will be locked to Region B. Masters Of Cinema will be using Criterion's high-def master for their release, so we can probably expect Criterion's release of "M" sometime this year, I'd think.

ooo they are doing some new cases huh.

that's a tough call. I am sure they look great but I don't really mind mine.

one of those cases where excess cash would be helpful! buy em and make the decision later haha

I think it's been confirm that M will be release in 2010? I think I saw something to that effect a while back. I always wondered if Lang used the real story of Fritz Haarmann for making this movie? Does anyone know the background of it?

This is exactly what I feared about when I was trying to make up my mind. What if in the future Criterion releases like 5 or more titles a month and only 1 or 2 would interest me? Do I still buy them all because I've gone so far? I think I made the right choice.
