Problems? I'd like to think they're going to explain the delay by announcing additional supplements:

• Isolated music track (or inclusion of CD edition of the OOP limited edition vinyl soundtrack complete with banjo and piano versions of "If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out")
• Inclusion of the novel (akin to the original Short Cuts w/short story collection) or the stage adaptation
• Postcard reproductions of Maude's paintings, The Rape of Rome and Rainbow With Egg Underneath And An Elephant
• French re-make and/or Yugoslavian remake
• Video intro from Justin Bieber assuring purchasers he will not appear in a remake.
• Excerpts from one of the stage productions (such as this recent one or the one where the actress who originally played Sunshine played Maude)
• Port of Paramount's original edition special features: Chapter breaks and menus

I'd add more, but I think my meds are kicking in and I'm returning from my delirious fog.

Wasn't that because of the film code

I think that's the reason Suspicion

Also, with the announcement of the BFI Cassavetes Collection, any bets as to how long it'll be before Criterion re-issues their 5 film box (since its the 5 same films)?

It seems today was not "the" day but still, another day will not kill anyone . About the new The 39 Steps hint, I may be speaking out of my ignorance towards the film but I am not excited about this upgrade (Blasphemous?). I have never been a big Hitchcock fan as I find most of his films pretty entertaining but not even his "great" ones have stuck with me . Still, I am hoping for some surprises, some new upgrades and some nice new titles .

I'm pretty sure you're exactly right. It always bugged me because

[Show spoiler]the way Milland was caught was so stupid, and his plan was so ingenious by comparison. I also liked how smug he got about it it would have been GREAT if he got away with it

I saw that! So glad I didn't pick up the Criterion Cassavetes box-set at one of the previous B&N sales.
If Criterion won't do it or at least announce that they're planning on releasing them, they'll lose at least one sale to me.

Seventh Seal, because it's magnificent Bergman and a beautiful B&W transfer to boot. Plus, it's the most iconic of the 3 (not only in imagery, but it's considered one of Bergman's best, whereas the other two are both excellent but usually not equated with the directors' very best works).
