The movie's Rosemary was, you know, not.

They're not above a little fun with homonyms in these things.

A night to remember sounds interesting. How similar is it to a night at the Roxbury?

A Night to Remember has more in common with A Walk to Remember than it does with A Night at the Roxbury.

Hope that helps!

Just purchased the Tin Drum on Blu ray. My first Criterion upgrade from DVD. Words cant begin to express how outraged I am that most of the 2 disk Criterion DVD supplements are not even on the Blu-ray release. This disgusts me to no end and will prevent me from buying Criterion titles in the future. A new low for Criterion . If they are gonna be cheap-asses who do half-assed work like the other studios they sure as hell ain't getting that Criterion premium price from me anymore.

I thought it included the new material as well as the old material. Still just shaking my head at much Criterion screwed up.

Wow. Criterion-thread can't answer this question?

Wondering about The Third Man. Is the digipack release valued more than the plastic case? Both sealed.

You'll be lucky to get the original $39.99 price for the plastic case Blu-ray of The Third Man. If you have a plastic case copy, I'll give you $45 for it, just because I've been looking for it for a while.

[Show spoiler]I'm totally kidding. You'll get a lot more than that for either edition.

I can't speak for all the DVD bonus features, but the commentary track is mainly MIA since the BLU contains the new DIR CUT only. I got rid of my old DVD a long time back. I know the upcoming SLACKER has bonus features that are only part of the DVD release as noted on their website.

I have the old Slacker DVD and plan on keeping it. Does this mean that Criterion is re-releasing this also on DVD or just releasing the upgraded BD edition?

If the new BD edition doesn't have all of the supplements from the older DVD edition, this is yet another good reason to keep both editions, right?

So Criterion lists on the packaging as well as the website what is included, you don't bother to read it, and it's Criterion's screw up for not including what you thought it would include?

Really?

I'm pretty sure the one considered the more valuable one will be based on personal preference.

While commenting on her CC top 10 Lena Dunham stated: "I’m embarrassed so many of these films are in English, but I just love speaking English.”

Is there anything that this woman can say or do that doesn't annoy the hell out of me?

it looks like Slacker is just getting a BLU upgrade. The Tin Drum original DVD went OOP and was replaced with the new Dir Cut edition.

usually if the cover art changes for the release like Lord of the Flies, and Autumn Sonata we get an updated DVD also.

Always good to check the specs on Criterion's site just in case.

Hell yeah its their screw-up.

I dont pay the exorbitant prices for their releases so get the shaft .
I expect more from them than what the big studios are doing. Even the big studios stopped doing most of that kind of stuff years ago.
Just completely unacceptable behavior and a shameful move on Criterions part.
Used to be wowed by Criterion releases. Now its more disappointment than anything I gotta say.

I didn't think The Tin Drum was that bad.

(Looking up the features on both the DVD and BluRay release)
