I had the UK Blu-ray for years (not unwatchable junk like Stalker is) but I'm glad people finally got their Mirror in the collection wish.

Man I have to say Criterion is really helping me save money this year. So far there have been some good titles, but nothing really has been "Must pay Day 1 Prices" like in years past when I would have at least 1 title a month fit into that category...

Bressonaire at the Criterion Forum predicted it, and he's usually right on at least one prediction. He also predicted Working Girls.

Plus, the Tarkovsky connection in general mixed with the Janus release recently made it kind of inevitable.

Last month Lizzie Borden tweeted that Criterion was going to release Working Girls in July, so it wasnt a surprise.

Deep Cover is actually a pretty arty crime thriller that goes places that few films of it's ilk is willing to go with it's condemning the police working with drug dealers to keep drugs on the street. Very politically radically for that type of film and very welcome addition to the Criterion Collection who have really stepped up their game after getting called out rightfully for their lack of Black Cinema in the collection last year.

I never I'd see the day Deep Cover was in the Criterion Collection. Bringing Up Baby and Mirror automatically makes it a fantastic month for me.

Really solid month IMO. Down for all 5 in July during the sale. Saving up to go overboard. May purchase close to 40 titles this go around when all is said and done

I can finally knock Bringing Up Baby off my list, I'll be getting Mirror also. The greatest month of releases for Criterion in 2021.

Actually, I am likely in for "La Piscine", too. I wasn't familiar with it, really, and after reading about it, it is intriguing to me.

So, I will get "Mirror", "Working Girls", and "La Piscine". Like i said, I have "Deep Cover" on DVD. I don't dislike it, but I don't feel the need to upgrade that one. I'm sure tons of people are excited for "Bringing Up Baby", too.

Overall, pretty good month. And at least I got one big one off of my wish list, "Mirror".

The best news from all of this is that I can finally upgrade my ugly Deep Cover snapcase DVD. Hate those with a passion and I'm happy every time I can get rid of one.

Only a dozen or so to go!

If I had started bringing up a baby when Bringing Up Baby should have arrived on BD, it would be at least ten years old now. But I'll still take it!

Definitely true. Quite shocked but I'm glad to see it in the Collection. I hope people who may be on the fence about it give it a chance.
