Well, here's my .02 for December announcements:

It's a nice light month for my wallet!

Merry Christmas (3 months early!)

Nothing for me in December, which is not a bad thing since I need to save money as I'm going on a trip in October and pre-ordered the Shawscope set so I welcome a light month. Though I probably will grab The Red Shoes down the line whenever I get that 4K player.

The Red Shoes should look stunning in 4K. Day one purchase.

I may upgrade The Red Shoes eventually, but no rush. Fantastic release for anyone who doesn’t own it.

Half off.

Ask Chico Marx, he had it down.

Exactly. No buys from me this month.

I guess the last of the first 6 4k's will probably get announced later in the month, like they did with Uncut Gems last month.

I'm excited to see what 4k's they announce starting January.

Do Criterion tend to re-release titles that are out of print?
I already own the new release for Rosemary's Baby, but I always wanted to add the Criterion release on my collection because of the supplemental material.

No. Anything listed as out of print Criterion does not have the license to anymore.

If you want the Criterion release of Rosemary's Baby, you're going to need to pay eBay prices.

The Chaplin Revue should’ve definitely been released by now. The Pilgrim is longer than Renoir’s A Day in the Country, and yet it hasn’t gotten its own release it. That’s nonsense.

A math exam? Well don’t call me Batman, because I only signed up for the oral exam!

But I’m gonna guess more than a red cent and less than a pair of Nike shoes.

Even though I am interested in eventually getting all three titles (I've never seen any of them before), this is honestly the first time I can recall ever being disappointed in a Criterion slate since I've been following the label over the past few years. None of the three titles announced are anything I feel strongly about or would rush to buy. Add in the low quantity of titles and the fact that all three were known to be coming at some point, and it's just a really underwhelming month, especially for me, since lately I've been interested in nearly every single title that isn't a documentary, and usually at least one or two titles per month I feel particularly strongly about.

When is the last time they've ever had just three releases in a single month? I don't believe it's happened since I started following them (around early 2018).

Of course if lots of people send emails requesting Criterion re-consider, perhaps they will, but I just don't see them doing UHD for everything.

It's also possible that Amazon didn't grant them 4K rights since having it streaming in UHD is still a draw for them.
It happens with studio titles too. If a film doesn't perform well enough at the box office or they don't think it will shift enough units, no 4K.

All the titles Criterion has announced for 4K so far have been quite well known. Whereas unless you follow Oscar buzz or subscribe to Prime Video, One Night will have flown under the radar. Released during the pandemic, I don't think it had many festival dates and scarcely a theatrical release that might have made it more well known.

The US has a DVD-R from BBC/WB so I'm doubtful.

I'm not sure on what other "Amazon Originals" could work for Criterion, but I suppose Annette maybe? Or A Hero, which comes out next year.

Other possibilities could be: The Underground Railroad, Too Old to Die Young, Les Misérables, Honey Boy, The Report, Peterloo, Crown Heights. Other films with a positive reception include Guava Island, Photograph, One Child Nation, Invisible Life, Blow the Man Down, The Vast of Night. It would be also be nice to see some films previously issued on BD-R reissued, like Wonderstruck, and several of the Sony released titles like The Handmaiden and The Salesman are now OOP.

But didn’t they buy the rights back for Pierrot le Fou and Army of Shadows?

I'm happy to see Red Shoes get a 4k release. I've been wanting to see this film after watching Black Swan and both versions of Suspiria.

I don't know why, but movies about ballerinas going through emotional turmoil seem to be right up my alley.

I saw a lot of talk about Akira Kurosawa up thread. For those interested, Lionsgate is scheduled to release Ran on 4k in November. Although it's not coming from Criterion, I'm planning to pick it up myself. Hopefully, it'll be a top notch release.

Different circumstances. Studiocanal went with Lionsgate to sublicense their catalog titles in the US and that was a disaster. Paramount is getting into releasing their deep catalog titles finally after frustratingly not doing so, which is why titles like Nashville and La Dolce Vita are OOP now. I wouldn't count on Rosemary's Baby returning to the Collection.

I’m surprised the muted response to Red Shoes 4K! I want the most technicolor films on 4K! 70mm movies too!
