Maybe. Both could be in play.

There is a history of WB licensing out NxNW (It was included in the Universal Hitchcock blu-ray set years ago).

Agreed on Spellbound. Long overdue!

Well, we won't get the formal November announcements until at least Monday or later, but I'm STILL clinging to hope that they'll announce some special November release anytime, now.

They'll probably release everything individually. Then a month later announce a box set.

That's not how they did Bergman or Fellini. I expect the Kurosawa box to be the same.

Thankfully, the home video industry has not tried the ol' digital code/no disc in a box trick yet.

Lionsgate did do some John Wick mini Steelbooks that only came with digital copies, but yeah, I'm glad the industry never went in that direction.

Somehow I knew Gamestop would be associated with one of these releases.

Speaking of un-upgradeable DVDs in my collection, it feels like The Fog of War would fit in nicely with the rest of Criterion's Errol Morris documentaries.

After having recently watched the Criterion blu ray for Black Narcissus and while already great, it has become one of my top UHD wants ever since. Been also waiting for them to upgrade The Thief of Bagdad forever (still only available on DVD).

Dog Day Afternoon would be most welcome if there is a possibility.

Not predictions, but wishes:

After Hours
Something from Pasolini
Burn!/Queimada!
The Painted Bird
Dersu Uzala (even though I've already ordered the Imprint edition, now)
Something from Nagisa Oshima
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover

Tons of other stuff...

Thief of Bagdad would be terrific. I believe there is/was a problem locating suitable elements for an HD release.

Ah damn, didn't know that. Hope they can get it done. I know there's a UK blu ray, maybe I should check that one out. Still got the Criterion DVD though
