If it gets us titles from the Fox and Touchstone/Hollywood library then I will welcome it. But Criterion won't touch most of the titles I want to see released from those.

My initial reaction aside, hoping this opens the doors/vaults of Disney. Imagine all of the titles that could be put out if they are open for business. New to disc, or new to blu/4k...Hoping this isn't a one off

Wow. Thought this was a joke at first. Don't need Wall-E, BUT this means they are working with Disney which means the doors are open. Come on Dead Presidents and Borat!

I wonder if there will be any mention of this licensing agreement, and if there are any future titles to come or if this is just a one-off, at D23 this weekend.

A 4K mulligan for The Girl Can't Help it would be nice.

But that's what Kino is for. So maybe Disney can finally play game with all these specialty labels.

I would assume this is solely for Pixar and not WDAS.

My jaw dropped when that email hit. Not particularly excited about this movie, but am very excited about the potential titles down the road.

With this new Disney/Criterion relationship, maybe Criterion can pull off the two 101 Dalmatians movies with Glenn Close.

Maybe this is good signs for the Criterionless Wes Anderson films...

It's gone full circle from the days people wanted criterion to release Song Of The South,To them now releasing Disney titles.

Even though it's on the Criterion website, they sent emails out about it and they announced it on social media I still don't believe this is actually happening.

I can't.

Wall-E is a great movie and has sold millions of DVDs and Blu-rays. This is big time for Criterion!

I absolutely never expected Disney to work with Criterion, at least not for anything from one of their major catalogs. This might be the biggest deal they ever made. Sure, there has been bigger movies, but for Disney to give them distribution is huge.

Criterion said this is their first collaboration with Disney. I wonder if it will be limited to some of Disney's sub brands, like Pixar, or if we will get any Disney proper movies in the collection. Personally, I would love to see Fantasia added.

Also, it is nice to have some more animated movies in the collection.

So...the market is already saturated from Disney's own releases on three different format up through 4K?
