Is it time to start naming our guesses and wishlists for February, yet?

I already got my #1 Criterion wishlist title - the Europa Trilogy. Everything that comes after is icing on the cake. I am wondering, though, if there are more forthcoming Lionsgate titles (I'm assuming yes). Eve's Bayou was a great release. Anyone care to list LG titles that may be in Criterion's wheelhouse?

I won't get any of the three, though. I will endeavor to persevere.

Raise the Red Lantern
The Trial (4K)
The Other Side of the Wind
The 47 Ronin (1941)
Pat Garrett
After Hours
Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore

Some more from Arnaud Desplechin
Some more Olivier Assayas

Edward Yang Boxset
Akira Kurosawa Boxset
Masaki Kobayashi Boxset
Pier Paolo Pasolini Boxset

Any of these would make me happy!

You'll get The Trial on Blu-ray only, and you will like it! All Criterion does is good!

Since it's for a half-off sale month, I'm expecting a bigger than usual slate, with some major titles included.

Three Colors Trilogy 4K (or Antoine Doinel set)
Executioners / Heroic Trio
I Know Where I'm Going
Inland Empire
Atlantics (Atlantique)
West Side Story 4K

I would be happy, also!

It would figure, however, if Criterion announced "The Trial", now. As I've just ordered the StudioCanal release coming out this Thanksgiving.

I would love "Alice" and "After Hours", and would add "Bringing Out the Dead" and "Who's That Knocking at My Door?", as well.

I think we'd ALL love the mythic Kurosawa set.

I have been pleading for a Pasolini box.

I'd love some more Bertolucci, too.

I appreciated the hell out of that Lars von Trier set, and certainly hope that there's more from him coming down the line.

I'd love to see some Peter Greenaway coming out in the States.

I think many of us would love "The Devils", but that ain't happenin'...

That will make it easy on me. I’ll keep my UK 4K pre-order and then just wonder if I should’ve gotten the French or German 4K instead.

Yes, I've generally found February to often be a strong month from them.

There are times I can remember buying the whole month slate in February.

Hoping for some major titles.

Picked up a few during recent sale - 2 of which I watched over the weekend-
Mikey and Nicky, Leave Her to Heaven.
And I have to say, I was disappointed neither had commentary tracks.
Both seem ripe for one.
Way back when, back in the 90’s I loved Criterion laser discs-
they almost all contained a commentary. What gives?
Imagine Elaine May riffing on M&N or Scorsese on LHTH….
Missed opportunity

I'd love to finally see Inland Empire since it was announced/hinted well before Lost Highway if I recall.

I know, but I just want to know which one Studio Canal will f*ck the encode with more. Will it be because of eating escargot, bratwurst, or fish & chips.

If they do get more Lionsgate, I could do with a new release of Abel Ferrara's "Bad Lieutenant"; Gus Van Sant's "Drugstore Cowboy" seems right up their alley, too.

I don’t know the reason but commentaries are getting scarce(er) on their releases; booklets are even rarer nowadays.

Would love to finally get ... After Hrs.. and... Pat Garrett.

Hopefully Scorsese's ..Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.. is a possibility.

Did Criterion put out a cartoon yet for next year's releases yet.. or end of next month?
