I just bought her husband's two films on blu ray. He produced a few with her, but he directed only two himself.

They are both very worthwhile. "On the Yard" and "A Walk on the Moon".

"On the Yard" is very interesting. It definitely goes in directions you wouldn't expect going in.

I'd add,

Some more Bertolucci
Bringing Out the Dead
The Devils (I know, I know)
Drugstore Cowboy
Hud
Fingers (I know)

Now Rayjg can taunt us about how NONE of this will happen now since we listed them, LOL.

I'm wishing/hoping for some Scorsese. I know After Hours is happening but that's probably a ways away. But maybe the likes of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore or Mean Streets (with Who's That Knocking at My Door as a special feature) could get released. I don't know if WB has a deal with Criterion but if anyone could get their film on the label it'd be Marty.
And if Paramount ain't going to release Bringing Out the Dead then they can at least hand it over to Criterion.

At this point I just hope they start releasing more titles that simply don't have HD physical releases. I'll take obscure titles over another Miller's Crossing or Chilly Scenes of Winter.

I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but have heard a lot of good things. I'd be down for a physical release.

The Dickens I say. As in Great Expectations and Oliver Twist. Just part of my monthly cry for upgrades of their dvd titles.

Hear hear. My two most-wanted upgrades are Lean's Oliver Twist and The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Then there's I Am Cuba, which has had a new unreleased 4K master for over a year now and would make a FANTASTIC Criterion. Those're literally three of my last five DVDs! Would love to get rid of standard def once and for all.

I think Samurai Rebellion is my most wanted Criterion upgrade at this point. What would be even better would be the entire Samurai set being upgrading, but I'll take only Samurai Rebellion over nothing.

Not to be a bully about it, but did you ever consider going all-region? So many of your wants would have been fulfilled a long while back.

At this point, I feel like as many titles as there are on my wishlist, none has quite the priority in my mind that Ossessione does — only available on and OOP DVD, which is a shame considering it's such a significant film. Does anyone know about any potential legal issues surrounding this one?

Finally a Criterion for me to buy, Inland Empire!

Odd for all that "4K" restoration work to go into Inland Empire to get a Blu-ray release. I feel like there was endless discussion about it's production, to be relegated to a blu-ray seems off.
