I went to an AMC theater here in South Florida on Tues. afternoon ("Discount Tuesdays!") and saw Inside starring Willem Dafoe. WOW, this film would be an awesome fit in the Criterion Collection. I recommend everyone to check it out. One of my favorite actors ever.

Agreed. It's great to see Dafoe in a rare starring role and man there were moments in the film that had me shuddering

Received my copy of Shaft and Woman in the Dunes from the flash sale yesterday. I noticed that all my discs had a black dot on the top and bottom of each disc. Is this now a common practice or am I seeing things??

I have Shaft and I don't see any black dot, unless I'm misunderstanding. Where do you see it on the disc and how large is it?

Just got off an email to Criterion about replacing my scratched Munchausen UHD.

It's funny, but I also just got in an order of discs from BlowItOuttaHere on eBay.
One of the Imprint titles was loose and rattling around the case.. Because they are in tight slipcases, I had to strenuously shake it even more just to get the case out. I was cringing as I finally cracked it open only to find- aside from the jagged, broken hub- not a scratch on the disc.

WTF is going on at that Mexican plant?

I have to fire off yet another email to Criterion. My copy of Baron is fine but Dazed and Confused is in really bad shape. The Blu-ray is also scratched but not nearly as bad as the 4K. Something needs to be done at that plant in Mexico.

I received my Criterion order from the 50% sale today (it takes a while to get here). All looks good, I'm really looking forward to watching For All Mankind tonight!
Question though for everyone who has to Double Indemnity 4k: On my package it says 4k but nothing on either of the discs? It just says Blu-Ray 1 & Blu-Ray 2, is that how it's supposed to be or was it not correctly packed? On all my other Criterion 4k's it says 4k UHD clearly on the discs...

Thanks a lot for checking and letting me know.

The 4K disc is underneath the booklet on the left side

The 4K disc should be on the left side under the booklet.
